Since entering the private sector, Mr. Shain has trained and educated private citizens in the safe handling and storage of firearms and have consulted and testified in depth on safe firearm handling, storage, operation and characteristics issues.
He has an extensive knowledge of commercially available firearms, safety devices and storage products and am licensed by the State of California Department of Justice to teach and certify basic firearms safety for civilians. Several of my recent cases have involved unusual firearms and accident causality and he has done extensive research for firearms manufactures in preparation for litigation, including a recent project examining magazine disconnects and chamber loaded indicators in the commercial and law enforcement markets.
